DISINTEGRATION

Solitary oak,
struck by lightning,
I can not stand to outface you
lifting up branches,
deepening roots in soil
and me, a filthy earth's mushroom,
to suck the rotten from the yellow leaves,
to decompose dead members
of lush memories.
I yearn to be a bird
chirping up in your branches,
enjoying your rustling in the wind,
although never I will be.

Maybe still you need me
to fertilize you and to feed you.

Truffles and chanterelles around
will nourish you.
I belong to the family of Amanitas
being fully aware
of the hallucinations and damages I can cause.

Let me be wilted, let me be self absorbed.
Otherwise I can not
uproot you from my inner self.
As long as my soul lives, I see you in it.
